Barack Obama Tears Down Reagan-Era Tree
Why is the White House tearing down a 50-foot-tall elm tree from the White House grounds today? Some might say it's because of a recent thunderstorm that twisted and bent the tree into a life-threatening position for passersby. A likely excuse.
It's obviously because he hates Ronald Reagan:
"It was not commemorative or celebratory toward any particular president at all," [National Park Service spokesman Bill] Line told us earlier today. It was planted there during the Reagan administration, he said, "as a normal part" of caring for the grounds.
But now a "normal part" of caring for the grounds involves spitting on Ronald Reagan's grave, does it, Line? I don't remember reading about that in the Constitution. Worse yet, these "tree parts" won't even enter the private market, to create jobs. Instead they'll be converted into "mulch," a stealth term for handouts to the radical environmentalists.
Concerned that entrepreneurs might try to make money if pieces of the tree were to get into into private hands, the Park Service is sending the tree to a mulching machine. That mulch, "will be used in different national parks in and around the Washington, D.C., area," Line said, "and nobody will know the difference."
Trying to sweep it all under the rug, are you, Line? This administration has failed.
