Dominique Strauss-Kahn Needs Help With the Door
Rich and poor, French and American, innocent and guilty, we all sometimes have a little bit of trouble with our keys sometimes. Most of us don't, however, have a troop of photographers willing to help you jiggle the lock a little bit—as former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn did in Tribeca.
In non-door-related news from the sexual assault trial in which Strauss-Kahn currently stands accused: The hotel maid who says Strauss-Kahn forced her to perform oral sex on him has asked District Attorney Cy Vance to withdraw and name a special prosecutor for trial, saying that a prosecutor in his office has been leaking information before the trial. (The request is likely to be denied.) Vance met with Strauss-Kahn's lawyers for 90 minutes today, but "left without anything new to report."
