Within hours of each other, two students died in Ithaca's infamous gorges on Saturday. One student was visiting; the other was a Cornell junior. Both deaths are thought to be accidental.

This weekend's deaths follow another summer gorge death, when a senior went swimming the day after graduation, the Cornell Sun reports. All three deaths were at Fall Creek Gorge, pictured above. Update: An earlier version of this article said four people died in the gorges this year. The correct number is three. Apologies.
