The Long, Hard Journey of a Firework
This weekend when you're setting off Roman candles and other such contraptions in the backyard, take a minute to stop and think of what the firework itself goes through on its flight. It soars in the air, explodes, and then crashes to earth. Let's show you!
Here is a video comprised of shots from a camera attached to some sort of bottle rocket. Watch it repeatedly go flying and then crash in various and assorted places, like the ground or a tree. It's a tough life for one of these illuminated noisemakers, and it's a tough video to watch as it swirls through the air and gives you vertigo. Just remember that before you set that match to fuse this weekend, will you?
