Citigroup Admits Lots More Customers Had Account Info Stolen
Last week, Citigroup admitted it had been hit by hackers in May who used a super-simple browser trick to make off with account information on more than 200,000 of the bank's credit card customers.
Er, make that 360,000 credit cardholders: Citi just boosted its estimate by about 80 percent. If you listen carefully, you can hear 160,000 people groaning at the same time.
