Citigroup discovered in early May that hackers accessed data on about 200,000 of its customers, including names, emails and account numbers, according to Reuters. Luckily Citi promptly notified customers one month later.

Seems like everyone's getting hacked these days, right? Citibank's breach—which represents about 1 percent of its bank card customers—is dwarfed by April's PlayStation Network hack, which exposed almost 100 million customers. Maybe that's why Citigroup decided to sit on the news for a month: They didn't want affected customers to be overwhelmed by so many hacks at once. I mean, it's only their bank account—no need to panic, people whose bank accounts are apparently being hocked in the comments sections of financial blogs. So considerate.
