Watch out, people who tweet made-up stuff on Twitter (i.e. everyone on Twitter). A Malaysian guy is being forced to tweet an apology 100 times to the magazine company he defamed in a tweet.

Back in January, Fahmi Fadzil accused the BluInc Media of discriminating against a pregnant friend of his employed by one of the company's magazines. The publisher took legal action against Fadzil, and now has settled the case: Fadzil must now tweet 100 times a confession and apology. He's currently on number 25.

The punishment may be backfiring: Fadzil is basking in the new attention and followers the case has given him. Today he tweeted: "OMG @questlove IS FOLLOWING ME." Although becoming an international Twitter phenomenon is something of a nightmare in itself. [The Next Web via Slashdot]
