What's the latest terrible news from Arizona, America's dirt backyard? Not much has changed, really. People want as many guns as possible, to make up for the lack of jobs and sustainable mortgages, while Steven Seagal rides around in tanks attacking chickens. Also, penis certificates. There's very little to complain about. So leave it to the liberals to not appreciate how good they have it and demand their own state.

Reuters reports that a "group of lawyers from the Democratic stronghold of Tucson and surrounding Pima County have launched a petition drive seeking support for a November 2012 ballot question on whether the 48th state should be divided in two." The new liberal border bastion would exceed Rhode Island, Delaware, Connecticut and New Jersey in land mass. Its tentative name would be Baja Arizona, which is also maybe a gordita flavor — is "flavor" the word? — at Taco Bell.

The ballot question, though, would just be "a nonbinding measure asking Pima County voters if they support petitioning state lawmakers for permission to break away." Leave it to the liberals to petition for a ballot question asking politely for permission to petition state lawmakers for an eventual law, for freedom, sometime in the future.
