Country Folks Don't Get Much Internet
Country living is dial-up internet living, in America!
In rural America, only 60 percent of households use broadband Internet service, according to a report released Thursday by the Department of Commerce. That is 10 percent less than urban households. Over all, 28 percent of Americans do not use the Internet at all.
This is clearly an injustice that should be remedied—by government mandate, if necessary—so that America doesn't further descend into a two-tier society of haves and have-nots, with the have-nots cut off not only from money, but from access to information, which is equally, if not more, empowering.
That said, recipes for "pie" can be found in old-fashioned cookbooks, too.
