The World Health Organization just released a report about global alcohol consumption. Conclusion: Our planet is wasted!
There are many sad statistics, like about how alcohol is the leading cause of death worldwide for men 15-59. But also some cool maps. Above are the world's drunkest countries, according to per capita alcohol consumption in 2005. You can use it to plan your next vacation. According to the report, Moldova is the world's drunkest country, with each resident downing about 4.8 gallons of alcohol a year. (Click to enlarge; there are about 3.5 liters in a gallon.)
