Iran Makes Woman Recreate Her Husband's Death for TV
Iran's state-run PressTV yesterday aired a "reconstruction" of the murder allegedly committed by Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani — the woman sentenced to death by stoning earlier this year. In it, she reenacts the moment she injected her husband. It's creepy.
International outcry over the stoning sentence moved Iran to change that to 99 lashes, then to hanging, then to a "good chance" she won't be executed. So, in an effort to prove that Ashtiani deserves whatever she's got coming, Iranian authorities had her recreate the moments where she sedated her husband and then helped her lover electrocute him.
