Lanky Prisoner Escapes Jail by Sliding Through Bars
An inmate named Kristopher Allen White escaped the Haywood County jail in Tennessee last week, but was apprehended later that day. Why the mention? Because the 160-pound White slipped through a four and a half inch space between the bars.
White is listed as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing 160 pounds. Just how he slipped through the bars and out of the Haywood County jail is anyone's guess. Haywood County Sheriff Melvin Bond told the Jackson Sun, "It was a quite a caper — I've never seen anything like it since I've been in law enforcement."
Police found pieces of Whites clothing draped across the jail's barbed wire fence, and a blanket. White is being held for five church burglaries that happened over the summer. In other words, this guy is (allegedly) a total scumbag, but bravo, Mr. White. That's quite a jail break.
