Anthony Franzese is suing the landlords of his former East Village building for $21 million after an air-conditioner fell out of a sixth story window, bounced off an awning, and hit him in the head. It's a crazy story.

Franzese, who had been evicted from the building at 65 Second Avenue before the September incident, claims that he suffered permanent brain damage after the unit hit him in the skull. He also alleges he suffered a heart attack and went into a coma at the hospital while recovering from his injuries. His landlords classify him as a squatter who they had to kick out of a rent-controlled apartment. Still, the city's building department says the A/C unit was improperly installed, which could mean a huge reward for Franzese. $21 million is some cool cash.
