Dying to Watch The Walking Dead?
Can't wait for the world premiere of The Walking Dead, AMC's flesh-crawling undead-fighting brand-new series? Well, launder the slanket, break out the popcorn, and lock down some viewing buddies because it's happening this Sunday night. Otherwise known as the scariest night of the year: Halloween.
The Walking Dead is an epic, survival adventure series from Frank Darabont, director of The Shawshank Redemption, and Gale Anne Hurd, producer of The Terminator and Aliens, based on the hugely successful comic book series by Robert Kirkman. After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) finds the world he knew ravaged by a zombie epidemic of apocalyptic proportions. Nearby, on the outskirts of Atlanta, a small encampment struggles to survive as "the dead" stalk them at every turn. Can Rick and his rag-tag band of humans fight to live in this terrifying new world? And, amidst dire conditions and personal rivalries, will they ultimately survive one another?
And to tide you over until Sunday, AMC's throwing a Fearfest, a horror movie marathon of epic proportion. The two-week marathon is wrapping up, but you can still catch Evil Dead II, Dawn of the Dead, and From Dusk Till Dawn as well as interviews with both established and upcoming horror filmmakers and actors with "Killer Conversations" and "New Blood" segments airing throughout each night's primetime film. Fearfest culminates with the 90-minute Walking Dead world premiere event Sunday, October 31 at 10/9c—only on AMC.
