Indie Music Darlings Invade Giants-Phillies Game
A funny thing happened during Game 3 of the National League championships. Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab For Cutie) and Zooey Deschanel (of our wildest indie-rock dreams) performed patriotic tunes at AT&T stadium. How could hipster royalty crossover to MLB?
As it turns out, this hasn't been the first time Ben Gibbard has performed at a game. He performed during the Seattle Mariners' home opener. (Oh, Seattle—how ironic.)
Here's his performance of the National Anthem that kicked off Game 3. The jury is still out as to whether or not we enjoy Ben "unplugged."

During the Seventh Inning Stretch, Ben's wife Zooey performed "God Bless America."
