Hungarian PM Viktor Orban today said a reservoir wall holding back poisonous red sludge was "very likely" to collapse, and ordered the evacuation of the village of Kolontar. The alumina plant has already spilled 700,000 cubic meters of sludge.

Orban also said that whoever is responsible for the spill from the alumina plant in Ajka, Hungary would face "very severe" consequences. According to the Guardian, Orban told reporters:

Hungary has never experienced any tragedy like that and we are all astonished. Human errors and mistakes must exist ... and the [legal] consequences will be very serious."

Seven people have died, and at least 150 have been injured so far as a result of last week's spill.
