Tonight is the premiere of Top Chef: Just Desserts on Bravo, and the network is marking it by holding a free, nationwide "Just Desserts Day" celebration. So, Whitney Jefferson and I took a little field trip! Here's what we got.

Stop One: Cake Shop

Our first stop after leaving the office today at 1:00 PM was to Cake Shop, located in Manhattan's Lower East Side:

Inside, we met the owner of Robicelli's Cupcakes, who gave us possibly the best one we'd ever tasted:

Stop Two: Stuffed Artisan Cannolis

After enjoying our cupcakes, Whitney and I (plus Gawker Media's awesome office manager, Julia) visited Stuffed Artisan Cannolis:

While there, Whitney and Julia got free Coco Loco cannoli. Here's a picture of Whitney and her dessert:

Because coconut and almonds are basically the two things in the world that I don't enjoy eating, I opted to purchase a pumpkin pie cannoli for $2. Here's an embarrassing picture of me with my cannoli:

Stop Three: DessertTruck Works

Our third and final stop was to DessertTruck works:

While there, we received possibly the best dessert ever: warm chocolate bread pudding with bacon-flavored custard:

Special thanks to Bravo, Top Chef: Just Desserts and all of the aforementioned shops for helping make us fat while we trolled the LES for free food.

And don't forget to watch the premiere of Top Chef: Just Desserts, airing tonight at 10:00 PM on Bravo, following the finale of Top Chef: Washington DC!
