Anderson Cooper's main squeeze Benjamin Maisani already co-owns gay bar Eastern Bloc in Manhattan's East Village. Now he's on the brink of opening a second establishment on Avenue C. Do you think Andy will actually go to this one?

The Village Voice's Fork in the Road blog reports the joint is called Bedlam Bar and Lounge and is in the space on Avenue C between 3rd and 4th Streets that used to be 40C:

It's the latest venture by Benjamin Maisani of Eastern Bloc in collaboration with illustrator Pablo Raimondi. The decor is 19th-century parlor chic, with plenty of antique-looking leather-bound books and taxidermy lining the walls. The cocktails will offer subtle twists on classics like Negronis and Side Cars, and will be complemented by a selection of craft beers. Bedlam soft-opens September 16, with a grand opening on October 1.

No word yet if the clientele will be as man-on-man as at Eastern Bloc. If it is, Anderson probably won't show up, because it's widely known that he never steps foot in his boyfriend's bar (unless he's with Madonna). Maybe it will be a gay bar, but just won't call itself a gay bar or admit it in public. Yea, that sounds about right.
