Do you know Tila Tequila? How about Tila Nguyen? That's how I knew her way before the Juggalo poop-throwing fiasco. Let me explain how she got famous.

I'm not going to lie and say we were close friends, but from the times I've met and spoken to her, I would like to believe that she wasn't the crazy almost-whore-like girl we've come to know. Yes, she was crazy but she wasn't annoying....at the time. Here's why this pint-sized Asian starlet has garnered so much media attention and why some of us actually care about what goes on in her crazy world.

In 2001, there was a rejuvenation of sorts within the car enthusiast world. All because of a little film known as The Fast & The Furious. Since this movie car magazine sales skyrocketed. Many used Hondas were stolen for parts, many street racers were arrested, and there have been too many conventions dedicated to all things import car to count. Here is where we find a young model known at the time as Tila Nguyen.

Before all of the glitz and semi-glamour, Tila was showing off and showing her goods for the likes of Playboy, a slew of import car magazines like Import Tuner and Super Street, and she was even in a video game. Street Racing Syndicate put you in several situations where you earned money and girlfriends by racing your heavily tuned and nitrous-filled cars throughout busy city streets. It was like Need for Speed: Underground with video clips of dancing girls that you unlock like trophies. Yes, Tila was one of those girls.

One of the many unlock-able videos of girls dancing terribly. (Probably NSFW)

Most of her earlier work consisted of a plethora of car show appearances. She toured the "Hot Import Night" circuit as well as the "Import Revolution" circuit, where she was one of the original "iRev girls." Think of these shows as a watered down strip club with a bunch of dudes surrounded by cars and half naked girls, only you can't pay the girls for lap dances, only autographs and posters. DARN!!!!

Most of the time her booth wasn't crowded at all, as no one, thought anything of her except for the fact that she was pretty in her little outfits. She had yet to make the transition to public persona Tila Tequila at this point, after all. This was where I spent most of my time conversing with Tila about things like video games, music or how hot she was. At one point she made my friend and I fetch her a funnel cake and a Redbull. All in a days work, I suppose. She was still doing nude pictorials for her personal site, but the times I met her she had all her clothes on.

Can you spot Tila in this sea of Asian girls?

Clearly, the life of an import model was not enough for Miss Tila, so she set her sights on bigger and better things like music and other forms of entertainment. While still hosting her own personal site, Tilashotspot.com—which originally featured blogs, photos, the aforementioned nude pictorials and videos for premium members—she started to stray away from this type of exposure.

Tila's ascent into stardom saw her rename herself as Tila Tequila as well as rebranding her website into a social networking site, doing away with all of the adult content and giving it a for-all-ages face lift—much to the dismay of her fans of her earlier career. She also started several other websites throughout the past couple of years, including a celebrity gossip blog and a dating site—all while developing her music career with 2 EPs and 4 singles. A full-length album has been announced several times but has yet to be released.

She hosted Fuse TV's Pants-Off Dance-Off and started using her Myspace page, where she garnered most of her notoriety, to promote herself and her up and coming music career. When Facebook was exclusive to college students and Twitter did not yet exist, Myspace was the most popular social networking site that helped many young stars get their start. The list of friends on her Myspace page was longer than the Encyclopedia Britannica. She parlayed this initial success into appearing as one of the Hooters girls in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

Her personal life since has received coverage on mainstream news outlets and a plethora of gossip sites. She also spread herself across reality television programming like Surviving Nugent as well as two MTV reality shows entitled A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila and A Shot at Love 2 with Tila Tequila. Both followed her search for love in all the wrong places. Later, she was allegedly abused by San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawn Merriman. She sued Merriman who then counter-sued and won. She was also engaged to Casey Johnson, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson Empire, before Ms. Johnson passed away due to diabetic ketoacidosis.

Apparently Snooki wasn't the first to flaunt her love of pickles on MTV!

After all of this she then claimed that she was having rapper The Game's baby, which he denied. This sparked a tirade from Tila who then allegedly tried to adopt a baby from Haiti. Neither event has anything to do with the other, both are just odd events that transpired in a strange order. She has once stated that she was going to be the surrogate mother for her brother and sister-in-law. Now that's a boat-load of crazy!

This brings us to the present where we leave off with a bruised Tila Tequila after a horrible decision to perform at the Insane Clown Posse hosted Gathering of the Juggalos. This rather horrendous scene saw Tila being heckled and having objects thrown at her. Some of the objects included rocks, bottles, and supposedly feces.

So when will her 15 minutes of fame will be over? Chances are pretty good we haven't heard the last from Ms. Tila Tequila. Hopefully, she will start to make better decisions with her career and in life, like refraining from taking her top off the next time she's performing and literally having sh*t thrown at her.

So to recap, here's a timeline of the many different Tila's.
