16-year-old Kirstin Rausch had friends over later than she was supposed to. So as a punishment, her father took out an ad for 30 hours of free babysitting, complete with a picture of her face, in the local newspaper.

Mind you: her "broken curfew" was having six friends over to her own house (not even coming in late) until 2:30am. Maybe I just had parents who were a little bit more understanding of the fact that I was a well behaved teenager who sometimes wasn't ready for bed at 11pm and wanted to hang out with friends. Unless they were smoking a spliff surrounded by bottles of booze when her father came down, this seems a little unnecessary. I guess it was all a light-hearted attempt to teach a lesson, but, in my opinion, a bit over the top. Thoughts?
