CBS's corporate advertainment show Undercover Boss was wildly successful at making propaganda palatable and, indeed, superficially desirable. Now, CBS is ordering up a companion series. But will it also help workers internalize a self-destructive dynamic? Oh you bet!

The Hollywood Reporter says that the new show will also be filmed with the "cooperation" of this or that company, which reaps an unparalleled bounty of free advertising. And this time, the slavish devotion to management will not be concealed with niceties:

The untitled project from "Boss" producer Studio Lambert will feature two employees who work at the same company competing against one another for a major promotion.

Foolish proletariat! Television is for bosses.
