A Harlem man who dresses up in Times Square as the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz yesterday stabbed a tour bus ticket seller with a screwdriver in what police described to the Daily News as "a turf beef."

The confrontation started last night at the corner of 7th Avenue and 44th Street around 7:30 pm, when the Tin Man, 50-year-old Gerlad Brown, and a ticket seller from CitySights got into a fight. From the Daily News:

It was a scuffle going back and forth on the ground," said Eric Jones, 24, a store manager who watched the attack. "The silver guy got up and took off."

At some point during the fight, the ticket seller was stabbed. Police on the scene found a bloody screwdriver tucked into the Tin Man's pants and arrested him. And it seems this was not the first time the territorial Tin Man lost his cool in Times Square:

The Tin Man was arguing with Spider-Man last night," said Luis Valentin, 21. "He said, 'You a—hole, this corner is mine."

Parents with their kids on the scene probably had a long night of trying to explain why the Tin Man was stabbing the nice guy who had just sold them a double decker bus tour ticket. Nice job ruining the image of an American icon, Mr. Brown.
