TONIGHT: Friday Night Lights keeps up a great season with another stellar episode and Vice President Biden stops by Leno's couch to embarrass himself. Sunday is a huge night, though, with three premieres plus the full slate of HBO shows.

FRIDAY

8:00 PM

Friday Night Lights Lots of things are in motion as Season 4 begins to reach its climax. As a side note, well done for the Emmys to recognize Connie Britton and Eric Chandler, but this show needed a Best Drama nomination. It is heads and tails better than True Blood and Dexter, which are fine (don't go nuts on me) but are not as good as FNL. (NBC)
Wife Swap A family of survivalists who are expecting the world to end in 2012 swap with a family who prize their golf-prodigy daughter above all things. (ABC)

9:00 PM

Flashpoint The team must capture a man holed up in a historic arena. (CBS)
Say Yes to the Dress Cherine wants to look like an "Egyptian Barbie" on her wedding day. (TLC)

10:00 PM

Flashpoint The team must contain a prison riot. Wait, two episodes of Flashpoint on one night? This is the best Friday ever! (CBS)
The Hills: From the Beginning In preparation for the end of the series, MTV is recapping all the constructed reality and scripted arguments from the show's run. If you're the kind of person who doesn't feel like their library of US Weekly magazines doesn't do the show justice, this is for you. (MTV)

Who's on the Late Night Couches Tonight?

Jimmy Kimmel Live: Adam Sandler, Drake (ABC, repeat)
Chelsea Lately Sam Trammell, Randy Sklar, Loni Love, Ryan Stout (E!, repeat)
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno: Vice President Joe Biden, Adrien Brody, Chris Isaak (NBC)
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon: Adam Sandler, Oliver Stone, David Chang, Eminem (NBC, repeat)
Late Show with David Letterman: Kate Hudson, Dario Franchitti, Sarah McLachlan (CBS, repeat)
Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson: Scarlett Johansson (CBS, repeat)

SUNDAY

8:00 PM

Big Brother 12 OMG, you guys, it's the first nomination ceremony of the summer! (CBS)

9:00 PM

Scoundrels Heather gets a job at a strip club. (ABC)
True Blood Sookie is in even deeper with Alcide the hunky werewolf and Eric is given a deadline for finding Bill. (HBO)
Kate Plus 8 The show is now minus Jon, but is probably still excruciating. (TLC)
Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch Flamboyant wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (né Johnson) is the star of the kind of dating show that VH1 said they were gonna stop making after that guy murdered his fiance. Oh well, so much for that. (VH1)

10:00 PM

The Gates A series of mysterious robberies plague the community. (ABC)
The Glades Not to be confused with either the Gates or CSI: Miami, this police show takes place in the Florida Everglades. (A&E)
Hung Tanya tries to land a big client (HBO)
The Real L Word Um, something is gonna occur. I don't know, I can't find a synopsis anywhere. (SHO)

10:30 PM

The T.O. Show Cameras follow NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens as he returns to LA following a poor season in Buffalo. When did VH1 get in the wide receiver business? (VH1)
Entourage Ari balances a PR crisis with Vince's movie as he deals with his big NFL plans. (HBO)
