Patti Blagojevich Really Hates the Press
Illinois hair crook Rod Blagojevich's hatred of the Chicago Tribune is well known—he even urged Tribune boss Sam Zell to fire the editorial page editor. But did you know Blago's wife hates the press even more than he does?
They were playing some of those fun wiretaps in today's session of The Neverend Blago Trial. Here's Patti, screaming profanely in the background of a call between Blago and one of his aides:
"Tell him to hold up that (expletive) Cubs (expletive)," a reference to discussions between the Tribune and the Blagojevich administration about arranging financial help for the sale and renovation of Wrigley Field, then owned by the Tribune.
Continuing a stream of profanities, Patti Blagojevich asked her husband, "Why should you do anything for those (expletives)?"
She then suggested the solution to negative editorial from the Tribune's editorial board was to "Just fire them." Sure! And on top of that: "What would William Randolph Hearst do?"
Patti Blagojevich is way worse than Pat Nixon.
