Prince Declares Internet Over
Prince, who wrote "Darling Nikki" and can now do whatever he wants as far as we're concerned, has officially declared the internet "completely over," in an interview with the Daily Mirror. It was fun while it lasted, we guess.
The internet! It had a pretty good run, huh? Twitter, and the rest of it. But in the end, it was mostly a waste of time. Prince agrees, and in his capacity as Prince, has ended the internet:
Unlike most other rock stars, he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using any of his music and has even closed down his own official website.
He says: "The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it.
"The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
"They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."
Oh well. We'll miss that one YouTube video of the dog riding the turtle, and having a job, but the rest of it was pretty boring. See you guys in real life!
