The Office's BJ Novak hosted the 14th annual Webby Awards in New York the other night, starting with a great opening monologue mocking basically everyone and everything online. Highlights after the jump.

Novak's comments touched on Facebook, Twitter, Google and, above all, sought to deflate the resurgent idea that the global computer network holds the key to the future of media, politics and indeed humanity itself.
