In honor of the release of his book, Delivering Happiness, Tony Hsieh shot a video explaining why Zappos has become a successful business model.

For those of you unfamiliar with Zappos.com, they're consistently highly ranked on Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For" list (#15 this year) and they have what seems to be the Internet's most favorite return policy. They're known primarily for their shoes but they have a habit of selling other goodies that you might love wearing. It turns out the secret to getting on such a list is finding people who love working for Zappos and making sure they continue to love working at Zappos.

Although it might seem simple, you'd be surprised how many companies mess this up. For Tony, a happy workplace seems to mean pushing girls and having the messiest desk in existence. But it's obviously working for him, so maybe we should all start to follow in his footsteps.
