French farmers transformed part of the Champs Elysees—the iconic Paris street on which the Arc de Triomphe sits—into farmland in an attempt to promote the struggling farm industry. Click through for more photos of French people having fun.

The French group Jeunes Agriculteurs, or Young Farmers, who clearly haven't learned that the best way to support a struggling industry is to demand millions of dollars in subsidies to grow corn, took over a half-mile of the Champs Elysees to encourage people to buy more French crops.

Other strategies they have used include a "tractor-led demonstration."
