White House Party Crashers Stopped by Secret Service Just Blocks from Last Night's State Dinner
Were Michaele and Tareq Salahi trying to crash the White House state dinner last night when their limo was stopped by the Secret Service? Are they really that ballsy? And why was there a camera crew with them?
That last question is the easiest to answer: The Salahis are taking part in the first season of Real Housewives of D.C.. But last night, a limo with the Salahis and several other couples was stopped a few blocks from the White House for running a red light. The driver was issued a citation and the group then went to a nearby restaurant where they had dinner and drinks with friends.
Oh, yea, we're sure it's just a coincidence that they were in black-tie attire right near 1600 Pennsylvania Ave on the same night that the first state dinner since the one that they crashed in November was taking place. But the real citation that should have been given out was to Michaele Salahi, who was wearing a fur coat. That's unseasonable in New York, but in D.C. at the end of May, that's downright scorching.
Update: The Salahis told MSNBC that it was just an "unbelievable coincidence" that the state dinner was happening so close to where they planned to have dinner. Yeah, unbelievable alright. Also they say the camera crew was not for the Bravo show they're a part of, but a crew from entertainment news program Inside Edition.
