Comment of the Day: Suburban Flight
Today — a day marked by commenting problems, sorry! — we looked at the changing face of suburbia, and (when able) you raised some pretty interesting questions. One commenter in particular, though, hit the depressing nail on the head.
So we have a new chapter of spatial mismatch between the poor and potential jobs, and our urban geography will be more like that of Latin America and parts of Europe with a prosperous city center and impoverished outskirts.
No winners in this one.
