South Park Creators Receive Death 'Warning'
Those wacky guys from South Park have gotten death threats over their 200th episode, which includes the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit and Buddha snorting coke. The cyber lynch mob is fuming.
The psycho website that threatened the South Park co-creators, Revolution Muslim, said the pair would "probably wind up like Theo van Gogh" if the show aired. Van Gogh, a controversial filmmaker, was murdered in Amsterdam in 2004 after he made a film insulting Muslims. The threatening post on Revolution Muslim was taken down, but Animal NY took a screen shot before they scrubbed the site. After airing uncensored parts of the show last week, yesterday South Park ran with "censored" across the screen and the Prophet's name bleeped out.
A Boing Boing interview from last week with Matt Stone and Trey Parker on their 200th episode and pissing everyone off:
Controversy aside, am I the only person who has never seen a full episode of South Park, and really couldn't care less? And I like my fair share of poo-poo pee-pee jokes, but I just never got into it.
