That's honestly a really dumb quote (not blaming Gawker, it's in the source article). They "saw the crash coming" after they hit trees. In other words, they "saw the crash coming" as they were crashing. Planes don't suddenly regain altitude after hitting trees.
Uh, duh?
It doesn't sound like there was much foreshadowing there. They're talking about the "final seconds" of the crash, which are almost always dramatic on any CVR.

CAPTAIN:
They sure do.

FIRST OFFICER:
Not very good, is it? Top minimums. [Pause] I don't have it. Decision height...You got a hundred and five, sinking five...
CAPTAIN:
All right. Keep a real sharp eye out here...
FIRST OFFICER:
Okay. Oh, this...is low. You can't see through this stuff.

FIRST OFFICER:
Ah, yeah, I can see the water. We're right over the water! Man, we ain't twenty feet off the water...Hold it...
I guess you could say that these guys had a slight feeling as well...
I read somewhere that the last words heard on most voice recorders are "Oh shit." I don't know how to say that in Polish or Russian, but I am curious.
And, yeah, by the time you hit trees you can pretty accurately predict you are not going to be landing safely.
The pilots probably pressured themselves into landing the plane. They probably wanted to impress the President or save the day by getting him where he needed to be on time.
If it's a show it's a go....................
I cannot imagine the horror of coming out of the clouds and seeing obstructions in the way. They wouldn't need pressure to try everything possible to land the crew they had onboard.
