LIVE: American Idol, Season Nine, Top 9 Perform (Again)
Guess what! Tonight, at 8:00 PM on FOX—and for 88 minutes—your Top 9 American Idol hopefuls will perform live for your votes before tomorrow's double elimination. And Adam Lambert is the mentor! More inside, plus your open thread.
The reason our Top 9 are performing again this week is because Michael "Big Mike" Lynche was eliminated last Wednesday, but subsequently saved by the judges. So, everyone's back tonight, but we'll say goodbye to two finalists by the end of tomorrow's results show.
As mentioned above, tonight's show features our Top 9 performing live for our votes. The show starts at 8:00 PM ET, airs on FOX, and will run for one hour and 28 minutes. Why? Because the ~return~ of Glee starts at 9:28 PM ET (feel free to stick around after Idol is finished and talk about Glee in the comments, too). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they announced the theme for tonight's episode yet; however, we do know that last season's runner-up, Adam Lambert (or Glamberace, as my friend calls him), will serve as the mentor to our finalists.
