Jared Kushner
Son of real estate developer Charles Kushner, owner of The New York Observer, and Ivanka Trump's husband: Jared Kushner is, suffice it to say, well-rooted in the New York social scene.
Kushner was born in Paramus, New Jersey in 1981. After attending Frisch School, a Jewish high school, Kushner went on to Harvard for his BA and NYU for both a JD and an MBA. While still an undergrad, Kushner established himself in the Boston real estate market, and eventually brought his legacy back to New York with him, expanding his father's company's presence and properties. Post-undergad graduation but pre-JD/MBA graduation, Kushner purchased The New York Observer for a cool $10 million. At 25, Kushner attempted to revitalize the pink-pages of the weekly paper, which, like most publications, was facing a decreased public interest and was months away from weathering a recession. Though there were frequent reports of arguments over content, writers, and finances, Kushner managed to keep the paper afloat.
Kushner has been married to Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, since 2009; they welcomed their first child, Arabella Rose, in 2011. [Image via Getty]
