Who

Ingrao is an interior decorator and the proprietor of Ingrao Antiques and Fine Art on East 64th Street.

Backstory

After attending the Rhode Island School of Design, Ingrao spent most of the '80s as an antiques dealer in Paris, studying up on 18th century furniture and amassing a priceless collection of fine antiques in the process. He eventually made his way back to New York and launched his interior design practice, Ingrao Inc., in 1990. He's since decorated homes for the likes of Jack Welch, Howard Stern and Kim Cattrall; with architect David Piscuskas, he renovated the Sutton Place aerie of financier Richard Perry, transforming it into a ultra-contemporary showcase for Perry's extensive collection of Lichtensteins. In 2002, he opened his eponymous three-story antiques gallery on East 64th Street.

Personal

The perma-tanned designer's romantic partner is Randy Kemper, the creative director of his company and a former fashion designer who used to work for Givenchy and dress Hillary Clinton. The couple divides their time between the Upper East Side and their Huntting Lane Estate in East Hampton, where they've opened the house to political fundraisers (for Hillary, naturally) and for dance performances by the likes of Karole Armitage.
