Akon Banned from Sri Lanka After Insulting Buddha
Violent protests erupted in Sri Lanka after troublemaking singer Akon appeared in a music video, Sexy Chick, which depicts a sexy pool party with a brief Buddha cameo. Now he's been denied a visa, and it wasn't even his video.
Akon appears in this awful David Guetta video as a guest vocalist. He apologized to Buddhists in Sri Lanka, saying "[I] am a spiritual man, so I can understand why they are offended. But violence is never the answer and I am disheartened to hear about what happened in Sri Lanka."
