Shepard Smith

The Fox News anchor with a southern drawl who hosts not one, but two, shows on America's most fair and balanced news channel, as well as a weekday news update on Fox News Radio.
Smith, sadly, was not born with his beautifully alliterated name, but was born as David Shepard Smith, Jr. in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He attended the University of Mississippi, but left two credits short of graduating to become a star on WJHG-TV in Panama City Beach, Florida. After floating around Florida and L.A., he joined Fox News Channel at its inception in 1996. Smith currently hosts Studio B with Shepard Smith and The Fox Report: both air daily and cover the day's news stories. Smith gets out of the Fox studios once in a while - he covered the death and funeral of Princess Diana, the execution of Timothy McVeigh, and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on location.
Shep has recently caught some flack from his die-hard fans who contend that he's dropped too much weight in recent months. Rest assured, Fox fans, Shep has acknowledged the problem and wants everyone to know that though he's a little gaunt, he's in the best shape of his life. [Image via AP]
