Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has only been in office since January, but he's already demonstrated that Virginians accidentally elected a crazy person. First, it was routine gay-hating. Now it's Birtherism and grand paranoia.

Not Larry Sabato found a clip of Cuccinelli humoring a birther on the campaign trail. (The idea of the President having been secretly born in Kenya "doesn't seem beyond the realm of possibility.") Which is dumb enough. But we much prefer this second clip, of Cuccinelli revealing his true nuttiness without the cover of some other person he needed to pander to.

We're gonna have our 7th child on Monday, if he's not born before. And, for the very concerns you state, we're actually considering – as I'm sure many of you here didn't get a Social Security number when you were born, they do it now – we're considering not doing that. And a lot of people are considering that now, because it is being used to track you.

Right! That makes perfect sense.

I have a feeling that in March of 2011 there will be a lot of "oh shit, whoops, we elected a lunatic" stories on blogs and in newspapers across this great nation.
