Last night held some pleasant surprises for fans of The Office. One of those surprises was David Wallace. He stole the spotlight from the semi-impressive cameos of Kathy Bates and Christian Slater.

Last night's Office was a pretty strong offering, but...

...how could any viewer not stop thinking about the unemployed version of Wallace. The dry crutch character was transformed last night into a character that could really be used successfully if the writers are willing to give him a chance. Especially in the light of Dunder Mifflin's merger with 'Sabre'.

The Office needs to continue taking chances in utilizing the talents they have. Andy Buckley's performance was quality, and should be rewarded for that. And, hey, we could always use a little more Creed.
