The Office returned last night from holiday hiatus... or did it? It seems, ladies and gentlemen, in a world where the laugh track is treading water and variety hours have become a distant memory, the clip show will not die.

It started in typical Office fashion, a funny/not hilarious warm-up, to a show that gives it's audience the glib mundane drama comparative to the real life office antics many of us relate to and vest our interests in. Will Andy finally get busy with the new receptionist? Will power-couple Pam and Jim ever get into a post-marriage fight? Will Creed ever get the exposure he deserves? Sorry Office fans, let's watch some overly produced clips we've already seen a billion times on YouTube.

The Office is still a strong show, and on the one night of television NBC has some acceptable offerings besides, and yet you know there's a problem when a prominent cast member tweets something like this:

To be fair, Rainn Wilson immediately posted an RT sating the opposite of this, but the fact he's at least conflicted on the episode's quality remains.
