It Just Isn't a National Anthem Without Flea Playing Bass
So during last night's BCS Championship game between Alabama and Texas, Josh Groban sang The National Anthem. Fine, that dude's a really famous singer. Standing right next to him, however, Flea was wailing on the bass. Huh?
The thing is, I get that you want to make a spectacle out of the whole event on a national stage, but why Flea? You could barely hear him, and he looked completely out of place next to Groban. He didn't detract from the performance whatsoever, but he certainly didn't add anything either.
