December 23, 1997 Festivus is celebrated for the first time thanks to Seinfeld's Frank Costanza.

It's a holiday for all, it includes, but is not limited to: the decoration of Festivus poles, letting those around you know what is wrong with them, and wrestling any that are selected for the always epic 'Feats of Strength.' It was a real-life holiday creation, originally put into practice in 1965 by the father of a Seinfeld writer, but it wasn't until it's arrival on primetime NBC that anyone cared, most people still don't.
