On December 3rd, 1964 NBC aired a yule-tide classic, and a sort of break-through in the world of stop motion animation.
Many have seen this television special, but did you realize all the animation was produced in Japan under the direction of Tadahito Mochinaga? One of Mochinaga's contemporaries, and associate on several projects went by the name Kihachiro Kawamoto, and you should check out his House of Flame from 1979.
