Maricopa County Sheriff and imprisoner of anyone Mexican-looking Joe Arpaio has had a political rival arrested on spurious charges and invited two publicity-starved DC Lewinsky-era GOP lawyers to Arizona to prosecute him.

Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security enraged Arpaio by slightly curtailing his authority under federal law to make field arrests of immigrants, though he's retained his authority to deport swarthy people he has arrested in mass sweeps for wearing sombreros or looking lazy. He also admitted that even if the feds tell him he can no longer personally arrest illegal immigrants he will continue to do so.

Janet Napolitano needs to resign immediately if she is unable or unwilling to end one fucking little tyrant's reign of terror.
