Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the liberal Supreme Court Justice who in February said she beat pancreatic cancer, was hospitalized after falling ill in her court office. The 76-year-old had just received intravenous iron therapy and felt faint.

A court statement said Ginsburg's condition improved after treatment by a court doctor, but she was taken to the hospital as a precaution. So clearly, Ginsburg's ominous recent prediction that "sure we will soon" have an opening on the Supreme Court refers to the retirement of David Souter or John Paul Stevens, not to her own death. Ginsburg was appointed by Clinton, for heaven's sake. That was only, like... wow, was that really 16 years ago already? Time sure flies when the Constitution is being constantly trammeled.
