Its the last weekend of summer — a time for Hollywood to scratch their heads in amazement that they fell for it again.

• Congratulations Hollywood! Following the new domestic record, 2009 was also history's biggest box office summer internationally, earning Tinseltown a nice $5.8 billion. Remarkably, insanely, the summer's highest international grosser was Fox's 3-D animation Ice Age : Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
