Microsoft's 'Single Greatest Phone Call' from Apple Leads to Ad Change
Microsoft got some good press after rival Apple demanded it stop running certain TV ads. Now the software company is getting more PR buzz by caving in to the demands. Savvy!
Microsoft has yanked the original version of "Lauren and Sue," an ad in which a mom and her daughter decide to buy a cheap Dell laptop over Apple's Macbooks. The new version (below) no longer claims Macs are twice as pricey, as Ad Age's Rupal Parekh is reporting. But it does illustrate how poor little old Microsoft has been bullied into cowering submission by the mean lawyers at tech leviathan Apple Inc. Nicely played, Redmond.
