Why is Jake Tapper profiling Paul Rudd and talking about Bromance? Because he can and because there's not much happening on the White House beat these days anyway. Suck it, Chuck Todd!

Tapper's Drudge-baiting sensibility and colossal on-air ego are rapidly launching him into Dan Rather territory. Now that he's been anointed an official exile from the buttboy bubble by Rush Limbaugh, he's earned some downtime to pal around with Paul Rudd, which he will do tonight on Nightline. Someone can sub for him at the White House, right?

In all seriousness, Tapper is known for his diligence and tireless work ethic. And it's clear that, if ABC News had any hope of landing an interview with the star of a film during the week prior to that film's opening, it had to call in the big guns.
