We were wondering about those odd title frames flashing in between an segments of an interview with Barack Obama on the Rachel Maddow Show (like "Obama♥GOP"). Left in by someone in production?

Then we remembered: The MSNBC host went on the Daily Show last night. Thus Maddow's "Moment of Zen" involving Bill Clinton complimenting George W. Bush on a rug. And thus all the sass.

Given Maddow's love of snark and sarcasm, we'd expect she'll continue to blur the lines between comedy and news. Which is not an entirely terrible idea! But hopefully future attempts will be more laugh-out-loud funny than baffling. (Although the rug thing was kinda fun.)
