After Lopez told Cruise that he made his Broadway debut in the same theater Katie Holmes was currently performing in ("That's outstanding!" barked Cruise), he asked the actor why he chose the Valkyrie role of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. “I knew I was interested in the film," Cruise answered.
